Join me for another Virtual WriteAway over the shores of Puget Sound. 10:30 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Time.

Click HERE to read about how these began and for a prompt or two, if you like. Write whatever you please. Bring your pen or keyboard to the view, even if you can only fly by for fifteen minutes or an hour during the six – I’ll be here, cheering you on. I believe everything we bring to and express in our writing has grace, beauty, and power, and that everything to do with writing – especially our desire to – rises, shimmering EVANESCENT.

Pretend we’re here in the little house I used to live in on Whidbey Island, Washington state, overlooking Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountains. You can write inside (same furniture) or outside on the deck, or sit on the grass and dangle your legs off the cliff side.writeaway4-pierrmorganWe may have visitors…writeaway2I’m fleshing out the world of a children’s fantasy novel.writeaway5-pierrmorganI like to use timed prompts:writeawaytool-pierrmorganwriteawaytools-pierrmorgan-wordpressmonicawood-writingprompts

Admiralty Inlet from Ledgewood Beach looking southwest to Marrowstone Island

I’m moving. Selling my little clubhouse with its amazing skyviews and beaches to walk and renting a room in a house on a different island, in the tall woods with good friends and – as Tele of Hooked tells me – Barred Owls.

Yesterday’s walk was actually springlike. Till ten minutes after this photo dark clouds moved in dumping rain bellowing high winds reminding me it’s still winter. But the Dragon is awake and this is good. Lots of change, everywhere. New scales, new skin…
