Today’s challenge has helped me lighten things up. Here’s the progression of another painting from the closet, “Morning,” from my Seattle apartment 1999, which – as you see – I couldn’t totally paint out:
Stay tuned…things are still happening with this one. Meanwhile, bathe in the color: https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/vibrant/

Last week I started painting a solid color over old canvases. After a few strokes of yellow ocher on the brass pot of “Piano Mums II” my idea of it changed. I became optimistic about the possibilities.
What if those bold vertical stripes were slats of a barn door or an old potting shed? And the mums looked “outside” to something…
…like a field of golden wheat…
Oo yeah. I’m liking this now… Join in with your Optimistic photo post! -xo Pierr

C = What I prefer to be – “in or at the center; central : centric and peripheral forces.”
Not to be alarmed. Many years have passed since Before. “When You Are Near” (as it was first titled) morphed into “New Rhodie” then went back to its original title when the vase got to sit on a windowsill and look out to a lake. It had its days in the sun, exposure to many viewers and no takers and truth be told, it’s too dark and obscure; from another time which doesn’t really express who or what I’m about now. It’s lived in the closet long enough.
Today it got an After treatment. I’m very excited because several more canvases have emerged from this closet and wait in line for my touch. I’ve got Plans for them. They are not afraid. I’m an excellent C-student!
