Luck Be A Lady

November 8, 2011 § Leave a comment

When I was a kid if a ladybug crawled on you it was considered good luck. Wikipedia has all sorts of other facts and lore about them. For example, popular legend says the number of spots on a ladybug determines its age. I learned that ladybirds will often swarm to a home on a day reaching 60 degrees after it’s been cold for a spell, attracted by the warm surface and looking for a way inside for the winter. No swarm but it is unusually warm out today. Lucky me!
