Barge O’ Books?

June 13, 2011 § Leave a comment

Usually you see a huge ship, its deck stacked high with cargo. Less often a barge in tow. Could be bringing books. Those multicolored spines weighing in by the size of the wake. Which eventually rolls ashore turning the stones sloshing them smooth against the sand. A great place to read all day.

As the barge gets closer you notice the shape of the cargo suggests not books but boxes of writing and drawing implements; number 2 or HB pencils, charcoal sticks (6B preferred), colored pencils, pink pearl erasers? or an assortment in each container – maybe acrylics or watercolors or oil paints and brushes. Oo! Precise Rolling Ball V7 fine black pens by Pilot.
