The Force

Rockefeller Center New York, NY February 1, 2011

My recent trip to New York was the first in ten years. I used to go annually to keep my face on the minds of editors and art directors, usually in late fall after Halloween, when the air got frosty. My favorite spot to hang out has always been along the railing above the ice rink at Rockefeller Center.

This day three girls joined together in determination to circle the ice.  If one went down . . .

. . . they all did.

Waving help aside, they got back up on their skates,

and forged ahead, stronger than ever.

Inspired by the girls’ indomitable spirit, others hooked up until the group stood strong and sure

sailing on their way.

Thanks, Carole, for joining me on this trip. And to you, Christine & Dennis, Terri, Donna, Patty, Cami, Deb, Tam, Lynnette, Gunda, Carol, Lisa, GraceAmy, and Lynn for your heart support. It’s a brand new world!
